History

Our story begins in early 2000 when two Danish farmers decided to make a very challenging step: to develop crop production in Ukraine. Their desire to set up own business based on the highest standards has turned into Dan-Farm Ukraine and DFU Agro.

2001
Foundation of Dan-Farm Ukraine

Danish farmers set up Dan-Farm Ukraine in Zhmerynka, Vinnytsia region. They focused on growing crops. In early 2003 the company moved to Kyiv region and started to cultivate first 1100 hectares.

2005
Purchase of Khalcha farm

Сonsidering market opportunities Danish farmers purchased an abandoned farm in the village of Khalcha, Kaharlyk district, Kyiv oblast.

2006
Reconstruction and pig farm

Due to steady growth the farm was renovated and equipped with modern technologies. By the end of the year the first sows were housed at stables.

2009
Feed mill

To ensure high quality of nutrition for our animals, we decided to produce our own feed. That is why we commissioned our own feed mill with a capacity of 7 tons of dry feed per hour. This allows us to maintain feed quality and bio-safety.

2014
Modern farm in Khalcha

Dan-Farm Ukraine connected all pigsties. This year we also commissioned a grain dryer and a grain storage with a capacity of 9,000 tons. Thus a comprehensive renovation was completed. The pig farm in Khalcha turned into a modern 3000-sow farm able to produce up to 100,000 weaners per year.

Foundation of DFU Agro

With a strong focus on efficiency, our management decided to expand pig production. We purchased a farm in the village of Grozyne, Zhytomyr region. We reconstructed the farm, set up modern equipment, repaired barns, renewed communications, installed new networks, etc. This farm will be a complex for fattening pigs from Khalcha reproducer. After full launch of the pig farm, the number of livestock will amount to 24,000 finishers.

2017
First piglets at DFU Agro

Due to the well-coordinated teamwork, in the early 2017 the first piglets were housed in the reconstructed pigsties for fattening.

2018
DFU Agro starts crop production

In Zhytomyr region DFU Agro started to cultivate lands and grow crops for the production of animal feed.
